Ike and Dawn Thrash are prominent owners in the thoroughbred horse industry having campaigned more than 200 horses at over 20 tracks in North America.  Ike and Dawn did not grow up in the industry, but when Ike took payment of 4 horses in lieu of cash in the early 1990s the couple never looked back.  Incidentally, none of these 4 horses were very fast, but the success of their other business endeavors afforded Ike and Dawn the opportunity to purchase additional thoroughbreds while maintaining a consistently top-notch stable.  They have met with continued success and were ranked in the top 25 owners in North America in 2010.  They have started horses in The Kentucky Derby, The Breeders Cup, The Belmont, and The Kentucky Oaks among other major races.
